Privacy policy.
Cookie Decline is a browser extension that turns down cookie consent banners for you. This page explains what it does with your data, and the honest answer is: nothing. It collects none, it sends none, and the only things it remembers are your own settings, kept on your own device.
01What the extension does
When you land on a site that throws a cookie consent banner at you, Cookie Decline finds that banner and clicks the option that rejects cookies, so you do not have to. That is the entire job.
02What data I collect
None. The extension does not collect your personal information, your browsing history, analytics, or any kind of tracking data.
Nothing is sent anywhere. There is no server behind this extension to send anything to, and it does not load or run any remote code. Everything it does happens locally, in your browser, on your machine.
03What is stored on your device
The extension remembers your settings: the toggles, the sites you have paused it on, and your whitelist. These are saved with the browser's extension storage API, which keeps them inside your own browser.
They never leave your device, and I never see them.
04Permissions, and why each one is needed
Your browser asks you to approve permissions when you install an extension, so here is exactly what each one is used for.
activeTab and host access let the extension look at the page you are currently on, find the cookie banner, and click reject. That is all they are used for. Nothing else on the pages you visit is read, stored, or transmitted.
storage is used only to save the settings described above.
05Third parties
I do not sell your data and I do not share it with anyone. There is no data to sell or share in the first place.
